Fall is just as much wedding season as the summer. If you are getting married, ramping up to a winter wedding, or get engaged in the fall, then there will be many celebrations that need delicious drinks. We found some fantastic recipes for fall-inspired refreshments that will leave you warmed through with the flavours of the season. Check out these delightful cocktails by some inspired mixologists to spruce up your big day! We have selected each based on a favourite fall flavour that you will adore.

Pumpkin is a quintessential flavour of fall. Whether you think of pumpkin pie, grilled pumpkin, or even pumpkin squash from Harry Potter, you are reminded of the season. Before you carve every last pumpkin into jack-o-lanterns, you’ll want to consider this sweet, earthy, and rich gourd as a pair with gin. Natalie Migliarini for Vinepair created a delicious drink called the Pumpkin Spice Gin Sour. The drink is frothy, but with a surprising depth of flavour, you’ll fall in love with!

Just like pumpkins, apples ripen in the fall and are part of most harvest celebrations. Apple pie, apple cider, and apple picking make up the season and so you’ll want to incorporate this flavour profile into your own wedding festivities. Apples come in a variety of flavours. They range from sweet to tart, with a crispness that reminds you of chilly fall mornings. Elana Lepkowski created a delicious Apple Elixir recipe, and you will fall under its spell. It includes making a spiced cider concentrate to amp up the apple flavour and mixes that with apple liquor and fizzy hard cider. You’ll adore this apple delight!

This spice might not get a lot of autumn glory, but it does some serious heavy lifting when it comes to the fall flavour profile. You’ll find it in savoury pie crusts. It hides in desserts to amp them up. And of course on top of your turkey to season it just right. It’s woodsy, peppery, and with a slight lemon-spice accent – perfect for adding that special something to a cocktail. Natalie Gruendl from Tastes Lovely created the Rosemary Greyhound Cocktail to celebrate the flavour with a surprisingly light and sippable drink. It’s made with a homemade rosemary simple syrup (she includes directions for how to make). Then add vodka and grapefruit juice. It’s tart, sweet, and has a delicious hint of rosemary that will keep you coming back!
