At six weeks out you need to finalize some details, and most importantly, get your marriage licence! Make sure you have open communication with all your vendors to make sure everything is in place.
Get That License!
Depending on where you are getting married, there are different laws and regulations surrounding getting a marriage licence. Make sure that you read up on the laws in your province or state so that there will be no hiccups on your big day.
On your wedding day, you'll be going from your home or hotel, to the ceremony, to the reception, and home. You will need a reliable way to get around with all those people, and now is the time to arrange transportation.
Confirm Details with all Vendors
Check in with all vendors to make sure they’re all well prepared, have nailed your vision and all have the correct date and time for completion and action. Double check the details to ensure there’s been no miscommunication regarding the final product.
Finalize the Ceremony & Reception Details
Now is the time to confirm details with your vendors. Contact each vendor, preferably with a phone call and a follow-up email (so that you have everything in writing) to make sure everything is in place. This will give you enough time to make last-minute arrangements if something goes wrong.
